The collection begins with the story Top Dog. Set in the 1970s, it follows two boys—Michael {Skip} and Daniel—who first met in Stockton, California, in the late 1960s. From the the day they met they were inseparable, even though their lives couldn’t be more different: one lives an ordinary, predictable life, while the other moves in a strange world shaped by power and money.
Despite their differences, they become inseparable—best friends from the moment they meet. Together, they embark on a journey that transforms them from ordinary into something far more extraordinary as they navigate their strange new lives.

The second book in the series, Daniel’s Diary, takes readers back to the late sixties, when the two first met. It explores how their lives were intertwined and things Michael could not understand at that time, filling in the gaps and revealing who Daniel truly was. How everything almost destroyed him and what it took to become the wealthy and powerful man he would later become. The story also introduces a wide collection of characters who become part of their lives, each leaving a lasting impact. Some are villains, while others share in the powerful, defining experiences that shape their journey together.

This is the third installment in the series—the one that finally brings everything together. Without revealing anything from the earlier books, this is the story that continues the overarching journey and connects the paths of its characters.
